HENGKO's porous metal filter design provides increased life and performance to polymer spin pack filtration. The filter is a sintered, rigid structure that helps lower spin pack pressures by as much as 30%. A continuous, graduated pore size matrix ranges from pre-filtration to a controlled final filtration in the single filter element.
 
 
Design

The hengko disc filter is a graduated porous metal filter that eliminates the need for an independent downstream screen pack and sealing mechanism. This reduces the number of components and decreases the time necessary to form a traditional polymer spin pack assembly. 
The filter consists of graduated powder pressed into a single assembly creating a uniform,  multi-layered, and controlled pore-size structure. The structure can be encased within a distribution/drainage screen with a solid sealing surface on the upstream edge of the filter.

 

In the production of synthetic fibers, films, plastics, etc., the extruder is equipped with a filter, at a high temperature of 300 ℃ with 250 high-pressure bar treatment of high viscosity slurry of more than 300 Poe, over escape precision to be less than 3um; the purpose is to remove the gel in the polymer, the addition of coagulants and catalysts, the polymer containing impurities, etc., to ensure the quality of polymer in the spinning and other stages.

 

The primary purpose of high viscosity liquid filtration is to remove the granular impurities, most of these particles are a variety of forms of gum particles and semi-gum particles, non-homogeneous impurities, and solid particles from raw materials, with the particle size of 0um ~ 100um, most of them are less than 20um, very easy to block the pores of the filter media. When filtering, the particles form a filter cake on the media and then gradually block the filter media through the filter hole or deposited in the pore channel.

 

Selecting a suitable medium for high-viscosity liquid over the end is complex; it must consider the degree of the blockage before and after the speed, viscosity, erosion, stability, heat resistance, and the limit of the filtration rate, safety conditions, production scale, etc...

The selected filter media must meet the requirements of filtration precision, easy to regenerate; the primary choice for high-viscosity liquids is incompressible filter media.

 

hengko sintered metal porous media, porosity up to 50% ~ 90%, can be made into a variety of structures such as flakes, cups, caps, etc., designed to have a level of pore size, so its retention capacity is high, and long life, filtration accuracy of 1um ~ 100um.
