Air Bubble Smaller Bubble Aeration Diffusion Stone

Gas-Liquid inter-phase reactions are common in the Chemical industry. Reactions like Hydrogenation, Oxidation and Chlorination require sparging gases to be mixed thoroughly in a two-phase reaction. Typically this is done by making air stones with holes called diffusers. While these diffusers have served their purpose well, there is always scope to improve the efficiencies. HENGKO engineers have extensively researched bubble generation, size, etc. to optimize these reactions.

HENGKO Spargers create fine bubbles and millions of tiny bubbles are generated. The basic premise is that, if we can increase the surface area in a two-phase reaction between gases and liquid we would have very fast, efficient mass transfer.

These bubbles move upwards at high-speed and effective mixing and reaction cannot occur. This leads to high consumption of gases, usually 2-3 times more than that required by stoichiometric calculation.

The spargers are designed based on applications for

* Pore sizes of 0.5 – 100 μm available
* Customized flow rates and design
* Life cycle
* High flow rates
* Ring sparger
