Focus on the two sessions

This year's two sessions were held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on March 5, 2021, and carbon peaking and carbon neutrality were written into the government work report for the first time! Premier Li Keqiang pointed out in the 2021 State Council Government Work Report that the government should do a solid job of achieving peak carbon and carbon neutrality, formulate an action plan to achieve peak carbon emissions by 2030, and optimize the industrial structure and energy structure. These two concepts are on fire, so hurry up and find out what is meant by carbon peaking and carbon neutrality!

Carbon neutral means that enterprises, groups or individuals measure the total amount of greenhouse gas emissions produced directly or indirectly within a certain period of time, and offset their own carbon dioxide emissions by planting trees, saving energy and reducing emissions, so as to achieve "zero emission" of carbon dioxide. The "carbon peak" refers to China's commitment to strive to stop the growth of carbon dioxide emissions by 2030, and gradually reduce them after reaching the peak.

Carbon" in the concepts of carbon neutrality and carbon peaking actually refers to carbon dioxide, especially the carbon dioxide produced by human production and living activities. We all know that in recent years, the global greenhouse effect has caused various environmental damage problems, and in addition to the increase in carbon dioxide emissions, the poles have also begun to accelerate the rate of ice melting. According to statistics, the ice in Greenland can melt 2 billion tons per day. Moreover, there is a large amount of methane gas under the permafrost, and once the permafrost melts, it will aggravate the greenhouse effect. Therefore, it requires the joint efforts of all countries.

China has made remarkable achievements, with China's carbon emissions intensity falling by 48.1% in 2019 compared to 2005, ahead of the 2015 target of a 40% to 45% reduction; since the 18th Party Congress, China's share of clean energy in total energy consumption has reached 23.4%, with the cumulative installed capacity of hydropower, wind power and solar power all ranking high in the world.

Although carbon dioxide contributes to the global greenhouse effect, there is no need to talk about "carbon", it is the excess of carbon dioxide that causes all kinds of negative problems, and carbon dioxide is not entirely bad. We all know that plants need carbon dioxide for photosynthesis, and in agriculture, some carbon dioxide can be added to increase crop yields; it is used as a source of oxygen in diving and aviation; it is often used as a fire extinguisher; and it is an important industrial raw material. It is used to produce a large amount of soda ash, baking soda, urea, etc., and in light industry to produce carbonated drinks, beer, soft drinks, etc.; it can also make dry ice agent, like artificial rainfall, etc. It can be said that he is an essential gas in people's daily production, and the utilization value is very high. However, in the production, it is necessary to pay attention to the fact that the concentration of carbon dioxide gas is too high, which will increase the concentration of carbonic acid in human blood, enhance the acidity and produce acidosis. When the volume fraction of carbon dioxide in the air is 1%, people feel stuffy, dizzy and palpitating; when it is 4%-5%, they feel dizzy; when it is 6% or more, people become confused and their breathing stops gradually, which leads to death. Therefore, in some chemical plants, breweries, greenhouses, farms and other places, it is better to install carbon dioxide sensors to detect the concentration of carbon dioxide to avoid dangerous accidents.

HENGKO CO2 sensor has high sensitivity, stable performance and measurement accuracy: earth (40ppm+ 3%F S) (25°C); fast response time. There is an LED indicator on the front to indicate the current alarm status. Adopt zeroing knob and calibration knob to adjust the detector, which is convenient for users to adjust the detector directly on site, and can provide standard 4-20mA current output.
